Our TEAM consults to DRIVE diversity
Robin Reese (she/her/they) is a playwright and educator based in Pennsylvania. Her work explores the relationships between identity, power, resistance and inclusion. As an associate professor at Pennsylvania State University/Altoona College, she focuses on multicultural theatre, African American theatre history, Hip Hop Theatre, and acting, including Black Acting Methods.
She has won awards for her plays and been produced in New York City and in regional theaters. In addition to theatre arts, she has been educating in social justice and anti-racism work, moderates white affinity groups and has a background in victim-witness advocacy and fundraising and board development for a variety of non-profits, including victim services.
Her work also includes rape trauma and interracial adoption. Robin completed her M.F.A. in 1999 at The New School University/Actors Studio Drama School with a focus on acting, directing and education.
