Rickii Ainey is a long-time disability rights advocate. Ms. Ainey began her journey as an advocate by advocating for her own Homebased Community services when she was denied assistance. From there, she attended Partners in Policy Making classes and graduated in 2013.

Ms. Ainey also worked for Louisiana Citizens for Action Now (LaCAN) to testify and rally others to share their stories of the disability experience to state legislators in order to get more money to support disability services. Yearly, she gathered persons with disabilities from 3 parishes to participate in Disability Rights Day held at the state capital. Currently, Ms. Ainey is an Information and Referral Specialist at FHF NOLA, and a consultant at Avent Diversity Consulting.
