DR. LAURICA YANCEY
CONSULTANT
Laurica Yancey has over 20 years of experience in the Higher Education industry. Her work in higher education includes: Career Development, Student Accessibility, Housing and Residence Life, Student Conduct, and as an Instructor. She is also a nationally certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor.
As a higher education practitioner, she has intentionally and consistently represented the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion. She is a Strengths Coach and specializes in the diversity of Strengths.
Laurica is an ordained Minister and is the CEO and founder of a ministry training program. She implements the fundamentals of diversity, equity, and inclusion as a ministry standard. She also specializes in assisting churches and ministries in incorporating diversity, equity, and inclusion in their leadership training curriculums. Laurica is currently working on her doctorate at Grand Canyon University.
Her research for her dissertation is focused on mentoring strategies for African American women in higher education by African American women in higher education leadership. She is slated to defend her dissertation in May 2021. She received a Master of Legal Studies from West Virginia University. She received a Master of Public Administration from Appalachian State University. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Campbell University.
